Guys, as aussiemikey already mentioned, a whole bunch of the ebay links in the excell file for the not printable parts do not work. Is there a way to get the correct links?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

The links are not essential. You can find all the items you require by a quick google search.
I believe the links were active when Steve originally posted the .xls file. However it should not cause you much problem, finding the items required by the description.

Sorry not to have been much more help

Hi I need a little help.
I can not find the right position of the connector with 22mm bearings on the longest carbon tube.
My instinct is to assemble all the drone including battery and move the two tubes of long carbon where the engines are set to center the weight of the drone. Maybe someone can tell me where is the position of "the center?".
Difficult to explain in Italian is impossible with my English.
If you can understand what I tried to explain, thank you for all the help.
Alessandro

My advice is NO.

first, you print everything, assemble it loosely, and put motors on arms and ESC (with sticky tape if needed for fixing) and battery in its compartment...
with gimbal if you plan on using it,

THEN you put your finger at marked position (measure EXACTLY middle of your arms, that should be your CG, so front and back motors have same weight attachet to them in air)
and when your fingers are on that point(left + right arm)
you move your shorter arms(ones that rotate up/down) to position on longer(outer arms with motors) front/back until you got it leveled.
then you mark it and only then you drill a hole for wires for ESC... because later adjustments are not possible.

here is mine with all on it, before measuring lenght for correct CG.

idea is to have SAME load on front/back motors

Thanks to your explanations are very clear.
I will try to mount much material as possible and then calibrate weights.
I have some probblema in the printing of a few pieces although print to 0.20 with my Kossel xl which is set very well.
Some pieces do not fit together. The errors are constant although print twice the piece. Maybe because I made a mix between pieces ver 1 and ver 1.4?.
I can just make two photos I send. 1 picture is better than 1000 words.
Thanks again Alessandro

Hello everyone, I finally finished my inspire I made some test flights and generally works well.
The building has not been easy and some things I have changed (I hope no one is offended).
The engine mounts I made slightly larger to accommodate the esc in more easy way. The difficult Arduino Nano I replaced it with mini servo and part of a relay in a micro printed box in 3d. Definitely less elegant as a solution. but it works!
I put a right washer printed below the servo 360 to avoid oscillations when the arms are raised, the joint similar to a spring was swinging her arms.
Another problem, and when the booms are lowered between the central body takes a bad move that failed to delete it. When hill to land the drone takes off and the arms move a bit and this is not nice to see . suggestion will be well accepted. Perhaps a change to the various joints would improve the movement. Or maybe I have not been accurate in the construction. Thanks again to everyone for the help you have given to me. Sorry for my terrible English Alessandro

you have to buy it. Look into the list of what you require in the other thread.

Do those canopy parts match the original Inspire?  I mean,  if they match,  they can be attached to this Inspire clone. Maybe I decide to print them and put some cloths to my skeleton one.

Check for "Inner underarm" there are  two versions, choose the one that suits you better.
