My version of Inspire Canopy
« on: December 20, 2019, 09:33:53 PM »
Hi, everybody!

Please forgive me for my English, this is not my main language. But I strive to share my best practices with the community. And also I want to convey warm greetings from Russia.

As they say in my homeland - I will not pull the cat by the balls (means - I will not take your time and get to the point).

While bears in hats, with vodka and balalaika ride around the cities in my homeland, I decided - why not make my own version of the canopy? In fact, there were many reasons for this. Such as - try yourself in modeling such things. Especially since I like to do other things. And also save money on the purchase of paid models.

I bought a computer, a bottle of vodka and a bear, which for me it all works.

This is how the draft prototype looked

I liked the rough draft and I decided to further develop this design. Draw individual parts, put everything together into a common assembly. It is supposed to use a battery assembly of 18650. But immediately simulated the cover for large batteries. And you also need a camera stabilizer - I thought out the mounts for it.

And here’s the camera stabilizer itself. Designed a suspension based on black dampers - the toughest that I had available!

By this time, my bear had procured a filament reel for me, and I began to print the canopy. Plastic fingers for joining parts with each other was a bad idea. But, it was too late, so in place I drilled holes for the M4 pin, which I saw from the long M4 screw. And my bear drank a bottle of vodka and helped me collect everything.

Slightly more pictures of stabilizer camera. I want to use an ultrasonic sensor to automatically lift the chassis. Do you think this is a good idea?

Putting it all together. What do you think about this?

I think it will be possible in the future. At the moment, there are several problems that I would clearly fix. And I have concerns whether this will cause problems with DJI. The design is not compatible with their original parts, but uses a visual image.
