Help with first build
« on: April 16, 2018, 04:47:11 PM »
I am looking to build the mavic pro clone, however I need some help picking out parts. So far I have purchased:

SP Racing F3
Sonar sensor
NZ Mini GPS
2x2 RGB LED board
Multistar 3s LiHV
Matek systems PDB-XT60
X4RSB reciever
Mavic clone props
PETG spool

I am now having trouble choosing a good motor and esc combo. It seems like 20A should be enough for any motor I choose so I am looking to get the racerstar 20A opto ESC or the racerstar 4-in-1 20A ESC (which is better?). For motors I found the emax mt2213-935kv ones but I'm not sure if they will fit on the arm or if the kv is too low. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!.

Hello, welcome to the forum. Why don't you try the motors Black Widow 2208CW 1200KV, they have the ESC integrated. Remember that the Mavic has very little room for ESCs.

I would, however I can't seem to find anywhere with them in stock. The ESCs I found are very small (27*12mm) so that shouldn't be a problem.

I think those motors are going to work fine. The thrust is good for the size and weight of the Mavic, so let's do it.
