Mini mavic ?
« on: March 07, 2017, 10:04:32 AM »
So.. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Mini-Mavic, just something a little different, small and fpv only. More have a lets see what we can do with it.  I'm thinking it's going to be really small so might not even require folding legs..

Anyway, let me know what you think.  If you have any experience in electronics for a mini mavic and what to use.. motors / FC etc then please help :-)  I'm thinking something like a mini whoop but in a mavic body!

No designs as yet..

Steve

Always up for something fun!  I have an Inductrix, it is def fun to fly.  Also fun for the kids to fly around, less worry.  I would think if it is something similar to it, motors and electronics should be similar.

I have loads of them batteries around Tony.. but not 2000.. dam thats holding some juice!

I think you will need that sort of Mah because with 3D printing being heavy compared to  CF a typical 500 or so wouldn't give you much flight time

I'd be VERY interested in a mini-mavic that I could pluck all my electronics from my H502e into...

I know, brushed quad and all, but it would be really neat.

I do not know if it's the quality of the filament, but it has a powder-like consistency.

WOW.. it's a mini mavic !!  BUT you can't just leave it there.. WE all need more information on it.

Also,  if you want to re-share the files and do a post on how you built it, parts etc I'll upload it and add it to the model range :-)

Great job... I know it's a silly question but.... do it fly ?

Good morning, Steve!
She flies like her big brother ... The flight time is only a few minutes ...
A battery of 300-400 mAh would have been the best, size wise.
Just printed the F3 V3.1 files, and scaled them down to 42.5% in Cura(based on the size of the FC).
ABS is best, and you can use aceton to glue it back together if something brakes.
Drilled holes of 8.5mm for the motors.
Used a Dremel on the base, and made it flat in the bottom.
Just glued in tha FC.
The FC is´t that good, but I had one lying around. I recommend F3 FC.
For those interested, it´s a:
Micro Scisky 32bits Brushed Flight Control Board Built-in Futaba SFHSS Compatible RX and ESC(€12 at Banggood)
Hubsan-style brushed motors(8.5X20mm)
Planning to put a FPV camera in front.

Filming and fly at the same time is almost impossible.
Love your site, Steve!!!
I will donate so you can buy one yourself.
