mavic frame
« on: November 07, 2018, 12:05:40 AM »
Evening all. This is my first forum post. I'm building the latest version of the mavic and would like to know what the 4x 45 degree mounting holes are up near the gimbal, just behind the vent? At first i thought it might be for a fan? But a fan wouldn't fit due to some other frame pats being in the way.

Hi, they were actually designed to fit a gimbal board in. Sorry, I can't remember which board it was off hand.

Thanks,

Steve

Ok that makes sense. Had you a gimbal in mind? Before I have a go at mounting one, I just wondered if the frame was already laid out for a particular flavour?

Had originally designed it to use a Runcam but that got withdrawn due to copyright laws I think in the end. I know there are a few threads on the forums here where poeple have designed one up from scratch that work well.

Thanks for the reply. I donít suppose you have the files for the Runcam 3 gimbal? I have one! Currently sat on my phantom, but is destined for the mavic clone.
Jim.
