My Mavic 4.1 F3
« on: January 17, 2018, 09:23:30 PM »
Hello guys,

I'm new here and I'm slowly mounting my Mavic 4.1 F3, I saw in the forum that there were some changes in the condition, for GPS, cameras and other improvements, but since I had already printed all the parts, I did not follow the modifications. I am an airplane pilot and my lack of time is not allowing more time to complete the project, but with your help I want to take another step. I need to buy the electronics and I still have doubts from the best set, I have no drone experience, this is my first. Could you check my list if I should change something? My mavic is printed in normal size with ABS plastic.

how did you attach the props to the motors. As far as i know those motors have M5 threaded shaft and the props are for M3

The props are on his shopping list also - but he obviously does have them.

I notice a lot of new builders are expecting to use the Mavic quick connect props on their motors, but it seems that don't realize that the options for mounting them on anything other than a genuine and pricey DJI motor are very limited.

I do not have the engines yet. I did not arrive at this stage.

Yes I included the propellers in the list but I already have, I forgot that detail.

was there any update to the elctronics for this drone? I'm looking to build one for my first time as well, and was looking at his cart to maybe match it. :)

There are several adaptations and updates that guys have done here, but I'm doing the simple version. Take a look at the forum and you will find the modifications. Good manufacturing!

There is really no standard way to build it. The files and example components are only a starting point. You have to be willing to do some component selection and adaptation on your own. This is particularly true if you want a gimbal. Several of us are going in our own directions in the search for the "best" camera and gimbal design. Read iRazoR's build thread for some examples of this.

Well I can talk about my model, I printed the basic files and nothing else, so far I have not made any changes and it is going well. Let's see until we conclude whether it will be necessary to change something.

No, you won't have to change anything to get all of the pieces bolted together. But when you start purchasing and installing individual components, you will need special brackets, trays, and other parts to hold them.
For instance, the original files have a holder for a crappy GPS that nobody will (or should) use.

If you don't want to hold your components securely and you just want to stuff them into the body haphazardly, then you can ignore these details. I've seen picture so several builds like that. I would never built something that way, but that's just me. ;)

Okay, I hope everything goes well for our assembly hahaha, let's go!
