NOOB question F3 or Naza
« on: March 10, 2018, 09:35:11 PM »
Hello All,

a quick question from a complete drone NOOB.
When considering the 4.1 build would one be better than the other (F3 VS Naza).

TIA,
Muggs

Hi, it all depends on what flight controller you are using. The Naza is more a plug and play but you get more options with the F3 / F4 FC's..  It's the same model just deisgned for different FC's
If you use any of my designs and can afford to donate to help pay for this site and the filament, or just buy me a beer then please click on the link below, enter an amount and donate what you want.

At first, thanks all for sharing all the knowledge.

I would like to ask this - i basically understand the difference between NAZA (Lite or V2) and F3 (F7) controllers to this simplified point:

Naza - more expensive, simpler installation and config, but relativelly closed for any addons except of DJI Naza original accessories.

F3 - some kind of open source, many freedom with many possibilities but coming with many possible troubles to play with.

I know that there is no simple answer. Itīs some kind of eternal question like Android or iOS:) - but what i would like to achieve?

Simple flying drone, not a racer, stabile and steady for camera. I would like to use GoPro along with FPV streaming, not the bulit-in GoPro wi-fi because of limited distance etc. At the beginning the camera will be fixed, but later i am up to upgrade the project for some gimbal. I would like to use some kind of GPS waypoints or ground stations flight. iOS app for setup, streaming and waypoints would be great.

Shall i stick to the NAZA M V2 or dig deeper into F3 controller? It is not about soldering or clicking connectors together for me, thatīs no diference. But it is first project of drone or RC anything and probably not the last. And of course, price is not the absolute priority, but every buck counts. If not, i would buy original boxed:)

Thanks for any suggestions.
