From memory I think they are the same on the later 4.1 model :-)

Love the colour :-)

You can get a red as well I think.

It will be easy to find if it goes missing one flight lol.

So glad I stumbled upon this. I currently have a 500mm drone and it's a bit too large for my liking. Starting printing the parts yesterday. My question; I currently have two different sets of motors. 2204-2300kv and 2212-980kv. I'd prefer not to have to get new motors, atleast not yet. Which one's would you recommend I use? My ESCs are 30a. Was thinking the 2300kv and just limit the max throttle on them so they aren't quite so fast since the size is there.

If you search motors on this forum you will get loads of threads up and most reccomendations say 2212-980kv so that's what I've ordered and it looks like what you have.
It's not a good idea to use massive escs and run at half powers they normally blow up, escs are designed to run at nearly full all the time but hey if you can fit 30a ones in try it, if they get hot you'll have to change at a later date.

Thanks, The 30amp ESCs gotta go, no way they are gonna fit in there. Gonna have to grab a 4 in 1 board, even then I'm not sure everything is going to fit. Gonna remove the case from the receiver and see how much room that opens up for me. I'm trying not to spend too much building this as I have most of the parts. Looks like I need a 4 in 1 ESC and a smaller battery. My 3000mAH battery is far too large.

thinking more like an 1800 is going to have to do.

I'm the same, been doing this for years and have all the stuff but not quite small enough lol.
I've ordered a all in one that has fc and esc in one package, ive ordered the motors and props and a GPS unit, it's come to about 100 from banggood. I decided it's just easier to start afresh.
I'm waiting to see if my existing batteries will do.

I'm maybe missing something here but is there an actual guide to the bolts etc needed for this? And a guide to putting it together.
Thanks
