Hi again. Long time since I last checked this out, and man you have done a lot of work here ;D. Great to see a Naza version too. Saw that you had made some changes to fit the naza V2, not just the Lite. It that just size of the controller or is it also room for the slightly bigger PMU? Do you have a pic maybe? I also have an Iosd mini for the V2 but it uses those stupid big connectors for the CAN-port on the side of the PMU. Guess all this is a no-go with the limited space in this... Or maybe tear a V2/Iosd set down for direct soldering... could be done I guess. Think I may just get me one printed and try things out ;)
Great work :)

BTW, donated :)

Hey Helinor,

Let me know if you need anything redesigning.. I didn't know the V2 PMU was different. The V2 files are just 1mm wider across the width of the FC, otherwise they are the same.

Also, many thanks for the donation. It's greatly appreciated and will help pay for my printer repairs I've been doing :-)  I've added you the title Elite DIY RC Support which means nothing to be honest.. .but some say gaining the title allows you to fly naked!  All I know it's greatly appreciated. :-)

Take care,

So that's where those urges came from, I thought I was just being weird ;D

The V2 PMU is a little bit bigger in all three directions. It also has the Canbus port on one side. I can take some pics, and measure the parts and put them here if you want. Then you can see if you think there is room for it all in the frame.
And thanks for allowing me the "fly naked" thing. I have always wanted to do it legally  ;D

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind measuring the size of the pmu :-) some photos always help.

.. p.s the naked thing is 'nothing' to do with me.... ;-p  Whatever you do.. don't say, well Skully said I could!

And Triafgg..  mind boggles.  Think you will fit right in here but best stick to flying two models at once for now!

The V2 PMU fits perfectly. It comes up level with the top of the base.

Ok,. That looks great. Will the battery plate fit without modding? And it looks like I will have trouble using the can port for the iosd mini...

I don't use the battery plate, just sit the battery in there, it's a tight fit so can't move.

You can't see it there but the battery connector sits there above the can port but I guess if you altered the lead so that it was just the wires going over that then the can lead might fit OK. It is very tight so not sure where the Mini OSD would go.

Thanks for your inputs :).
The Iosd is almost the same size as the PMU, just a little shorter. Have attached a pic showing it plugged in to can port. It goes up about 26mm above PMU the way you have mounted it. I also need to buy a new GPS for the V2 as the genuine one is a round board. No way that is gonna fit in the nose...

CdRsKuLL

You said I could request a mod if I needed... ;D. Here is one.
I plan on using the Tx/Rx combo from a Phantom 2 and the problem is that the Rx is a bit larger than the D4R-II that it is modelled for. Se attached pic. I plan on de-pin it and direct solder the S-bus lead. Also think of flipping it over so the bind button and LED will be on the top.
The board is 26mm wide and 63mm long at longest side. The other side is 42mm. Indent, or what I should call it ;), is 11mm. The board is about 5mm thick. Can this be done? Maybe switch placement of the GPS and Rx so that the longest side can go a bit backwards in the frame? Hope this is understandable. I usually speak Norwegian... :P

Hi Chris,

REMOVE YOUR PROPS IF YOU HAVE THEM ON.

Have you calibrated your ESC's?   I've not done it on a naza for a long time but you normally need to plug each one into your receiver and then power it up but on full throttle. It should then beep and you then lower your stick to the bottom and it will beep again. That's it.. You will need to do this for each ESC / Motor. They should all start together then.

Steve
