I yes i tried it and had to modify some holes because my screws did not fit and the holder for the arms to fit in. Because my arms (frontside) fold inside in flight :-( ... so i have to test more. You can look at the pictures, it is beta...

Would also love to see a F3 Version of the Top... I would want to implement my GPS into the front top Part and also want to have a little more room for my Batteries!

Thanks in advance!

Hi there!

I modified the front Top V2 with the Holes for the screws and the holes for the Plungers so it fits on a F3 Mavic Build.
Printed it and it looks like it fits. Didn't screw it down but it looks good.
Nice to have extra room in that mavic Build. Now I need to fit my GPS Module with compas into that Front Top Part!

Feel free to download and use it! Need still to get deeper into Fusion 360.

Greetings Ron

Hi Ron.

I am totally useless with Fusion 360 and Solidworks. Would it be possible for you to edit the V3 top for me please?

I would like to get the holes for the screws partly filled so that the holes don't go all the way through. I have 3mm copper threaded inserts that I would like to use. For that the front and back needs to also be slightly thicker. So if at all possible I would like to add 1mm of thickness to the bottom of both.

If you can't I totally understand. If I could be so bold, could I then have the step or igus file you made so far? That would be great. The stl's don't edit well in Solidworks.

I just want to share my experience: I also tried that with the 3mm insert nuts in the Top Front part and it doesnt work at all. If you put the Screws from down it pulls to much so the Insert Nuts will come out. I would recommend that, especially because the front Arms are only fixed by those Screws and the Screws have to pull a lot for the arms to stay in Position and not flap in during flight.

Hi David. Yeah I already had that experience. I glued the threaded insert back in the hole made by melting it in and it stuck....so far. I don't know how long it will last. Maybe I should be practical and accept that it won't work. The screw and nuts sticking out are just so damn ugly!
