Looking to buy a few inspired build kits
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:16:07 AM »
Hey, friends

My name is Keith, I'm from the USA.

I have a couple T600's that I fly and enjoy on a regular basis.

As much fun as they are, they are fragile, expensive, limited and expensive lol.

I wanted to invest in a 3d printer and start printing the inspired drone that several of you have completed and flown with success. However I'm not in a position to learn the craft as of now.

So..

3drskull, thank you in advance for this rarely afforded treat.
It is my intention to possibly hire you or someone you recommend to put a few of these inspired drones into a "kit" that I can build and fly.

The concept is fairly straight forward.

I would like to invest a few hundred US dollars into this.

How does $100 per kit sound?

I would like at least 3 kits.

Kit includes:

-all the printed components for 1 complete drone
-all current updated parts
-all the necessary hardware ie. Bolts, screws pins etc
-complete set of carbon fiber rods/tubes- cut and drilled.
-printed build instructions
   -parts index
   -build requirments

All packaged neatly in a cardboard box.

My email is useroneone24@gmail.com

Please contact me as soon as you can.

Thanks!

-Keith

Hi Keith,

Welcome to the forums. Sadly printing and selling either the Mavic or the Inspire clone is forbidden and breaks the licensing laws it's released under. For $300 you could buy your own printer and have a go yourself. It really isn't that hard to be honest and it would enable you to print as many as required.  :-)

Lots of info on here. let me know if you need anything.

Steve
If you use any of my designs and can afford to donate to help pay for this site and the filament, or just buy me a beer then please click on the link below, enter an amount and donate what you want.

How about I donate $300 so you can keep tinkering with the ftl file, and you print me a few sets for free.

Lol.

Ok what kind of printer do I need ($300ish price range) new or used.

Preferably plug and play but I can tweak things if plug and play isnt realistic.

What kind of filamint, filament and what endfill and temperatures do I go for?

Thanks!

I have a ctc dual printer.  It works great, but after a lot of time and printed upgrades.  I have printed my mavic on it.  I paid about 500 for the first one and they are about 300 now.  This printer you do not have to build.  its ready to print out of the box, but it still needs calibrations done to it.  You could also go with the prusa i3 clones.  These types of printers you can get from 100 to 400.  Only thing is that you have to build it.  You can get one prebuilt but you pay more money for it.

For filament, i mainly use PLA.  It works great for the drone and still strong.  Remember, the cool thing is, if you break it during flight, you can just print a new part. Filament is super cheap. I get mine for 20 bucks for 2.5 pounds.

hope this helps.
