So ive finally sorted out some space to build mine, I've got to remodel the base to fit the electronics I've got but other than reduced battery height I've no real concerns at the moment. The mounting points for the 4in1 board need moving a couple of mm to fit the board and the ultra sonic module holes need moving to suit.
Wires don't matter on the motors, the escs will sort it out, the motors are tight on the arms but i thought they looked like they would fit I'm printing a new base as i type so tonight I'm hoping to start putting it together (again lol) so I'll be trying to mount the motors tonight.I haven't checked the props but I assumed the holes were wrong as everyone alters them. I'll check them out later as well. There are various files for adaptors but I need to check out what were looking at.
I've had a look and theres not much on thingiverse. There is a design on there done in a simular way to how I would do it but I think it can be refined for the racerstar motors.I'm going to draw somthing up and see how it prints.
It would be great to use the quick release versions but personally I don't want the props that far away from the motors, I'm assuming there will be folding issues if they are too far away from the motor ends.I'm not sure I follow your first post, my motors came with prop nuts so I don't need those and I've already got the props as you know so I'm not sure about your suggestion of needing more.I'm going for somthing like this but for our 6mm shafts http://diyrc.co.uk/3rd-party-parts-12/mavic-prop-adapters-for-5mm-motor-axis/msg5212/#msg5212 I'm going to sink it down on to the shaft with flats so the props are lower.
No, you're misunderstanding me. Leave it with me, I'm going to draw and print an example this afternoon.
First version isn't quite right, I need to tweak the hole sizes but more importantly I didn't allow for the nut, lol noob error. The solution is to drop the bottom part to the base of the can. I will alter it later and reprint. I believe this is will be the solution I'm going to use. It seems strong enough and uses the original pins..
V2 of the prop adaptors printed and I'm quite happy with the design, I need to tweak the hole sizes again otherwise I'm happy.
