Starting a build
« on: March 25, 2018, 04:10:05 PM »
Hi,

thought it was about time that I put the printer to use and build something fun to fly.
I have only flown planes and toy drones so this is going to be a big learning curve.

3D printer is a kit one Vertex 4800. (which is playing up :-[)

bought the following so far (update 1/4/18)

Turnigy  9x (arrived)
DJI Naza M lite with GPS (on order from AliExpress)
battery for Tx (on order)*
2 3000mAh flight batteries (on order) *
opps I'll need a battery charger (arrived)
4 Sunnysky 2212 980kV (on order from AliExpress 35 for 4)
ZTW Spider Series 18A OPTO Multi-Rotor ESC 2~4S (BLHeli/SimonK Firmware) (went for 4 single ones)

on the shopping list ( getting smaller along with bank balance)

rota blades (dependant on motor's)

complete newbe so could do with any help on the blades to use on the motors

having problems fitting the motors to the arms, the sunnysky 2212 cables are two thick and inline when they exit the motor housing.

fusion360 making it hard to modify the igs file, as I can't always seem to get it to play ball with the model. seems limited in what it can do to a model file.

have to move the motor mounting holes as the cable come out at 45 to the holes.

anyone good  at modifing models (igs) with fusion360?
