Inspire Build Diaries / Having problem trying to find something?
« on: June 09, 2018, 07:06:10 PM »
Dear Inspire Maker,
These posts are full of experiences "Blood, Sweat and Tears" and also laughs and tears of happiness from all the guys that have build the Inspire. Luckily you can have all those experiences at your "fingertip" and most of your problems have been solved already. You have two options: If you are a creative guy, please contribute with your ideas, they are going to be very welcome. If you are a beginner and want to go straight to make this fabulous Drone, take advantage of all these experiences by the book without leaving anything by chance.

Maybe the lack of attention you perceive is because everything that is known about your problem has already been documented?

Since I started as a builder crashed a lot of drones and quads of all types. I wasn't a flyer before making my Inspire and my Mavic. In the following link you can download the most close to reality simulator for just Flight or FPV race quad copters that I could find. There is a paid version but you don't need to pay anything if you don't want the whole thing.  If it is free, what the heck...

Mavic Build Diaries / One back propeller is higher than the other.
« on: June 04, 2017, 12:45:59 AM »
Hello guys, I need very importantly to know the distance in millimeters between the tips of the propellers and the back arms of the Mavic F3. I mean the same arms that support the motor and the back propellers. I have a difference of 0.4mm on both back arms. In other words, one propeller is 0.4mm higher than the other.
That should make it a little unstable when flying.

Only decompress them and voila!

Here is a list with the names of the parts that you need to buy for assembling the Inspire. You guys can look for them on any store (most of them can be found on eBay).

This my Inspire 1. My goal before to dress it with the canopy's was to make the legs move up and down in the air, which was successful as you can see in this video of drone gymnastics.

Although have space for everything they are not heavy, both take off and hover very well, with very few stick. They are controlled by Ardupilot 2.8 and 2.6 and programmed with Mission Planner. I just want to show them and also recognize that they are not as nice and elaborated like those beauties designed by Steven.

Please do not print the Base of the Mavic as it comes the STL facing down ( the tummy of the drone pointing upside). I did it and that was the most ridicule mistake ever in the history of 3D printing and drone building.
Now, I have finished printing all the parts but the base took more time than all others parts together.

Inspire Build Diaries / What Camera and gimbal should I buy?
« on: August 13, 2016, 04:59:16 AM »
I'm learning to fly my DJI Inspire. I think I made a good job since it is hoovering very smoothly, specially when the legs are up. Now is the time to print and install all related to the camera. However, I still have questions about what gimbal and camera to buy. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Very excited, proud and grateful to present the first video of the DJI inspire clone which I named "Tesla's Dream One" as a very humble tribute to Nikola Tesla. Thank you Steve and all the guys.
